All of the recording is done as of this update. I got the full second song tracked in two sessions. This time around, I did a little more experimentation. I use an amp modeler that has it's own XLR outputs, so I just took that into the Vintech pre-amps for the guitars. I liked this sound so much that I may end up replacing the other tracks guitars with it. It gives such a crisp, clear tone that really works well for this genre.

The hardest part of this track's recording for me was the vocals. This song has some pretty intense screaming vocals to it, so I wanted to find something that could handle it well. I ended up using an EV RE20 running into the Focusrite pre-amps. I am very happy with how this turned out. I wanted to get a dynamic that wouldn't distort too bad with that much sound being pushed through it, and the RE20 was defiantly the correct choice for that. I love the way that the vocals sound on this track so far and I am really excited to get into mixing for them.

The next thing on the agenda for this project other than the mixing is incorporating the B3 Organ I discussed in the last update. After that, I'm down in Studio C to start Atmos mixing!
